About the Book
This book is a collection of well-researched scholarly essays in honour of Professor
Obiajulu A. Emejelu, both to mark his end of tenure as the fourth substantive Executive Director of the National Institute
Nigerian Languages, Aba, Nigeria and to celebrate his contributions to diverse fields of knowledge. The book covers
diverse but contiguous fields of studies, including articles in linguistics, literature, information and
communication studies, translation studies, and education. There is also an article couched to highlight Emejulu's
overwhelming contributions to the National Institute for Nigerian Languages, Aba, and a Post-Script in which the
ebullient celebrant shares a NINLAN story.
The book was editted by Dr Famous Oghoghophia IMU, a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Linguistics,
National Institute for Nigerian Languages, Aba; Dr. Philip Oghenesuowho EKIUGBO, a faculty member in the
Department of Linguistics, National Institute for Nigerian Languages, Aba; and Prof. Asabe Usman KABIR (PhD), a Professor
of Oral and African Literatures in the Department of English and Literary Studies, Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto.
